We are a community club, run by dedicated volunteers with a vision to inspire more people in London to learn to row, compete and get fit and stay healthy.  As a registered charity, we rely on the support of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors and donors. 

While Tower Hamlets is home to the financial district of Canary Wharf, it is also one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. In our club we aim to build connections between the local community and those that work in Tower Hamlets, as sooner or later we are all sitting in the same boat. 

Fundraising goals

Our club house was built in 1970 and is in need of renovation with three key goals:

1. Separate changing rooms for adults and children to foster the links with the local community
2. Improve the building’s energy efficiency to reduce its costs
3. New catering facilities

To achieve our goals, we need to raise funds and offer sponsorships.

We can create school engagement projects, encourage children to participate in sport, and promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

Lots of visibility for tourists, visitors and locals stop to watch our boats rowing the River Thames. We tow our boats along some of England’s busiest roads. We compete on rivers and lakes in some of our sport’s top events, in celebrated towns and cities. By sponsoring us, you’re with us every step of the way.
