Molesey Regatta – Race Report

Poplar had 12 athletes entered for Molesey regatta this weekend, up 9 from the 3 last year. Despite the windy conditions Molly and Annika had a win in their open women’s double and Ben had a win in his single.

The mens four, Vicky, and Mo had a great race and were unlucky not to come away with a win. Ben and Gill won their quarter final in the double but disappointingly all racing in the afternoon was cancelled due to high winds. This meant that Ben and Gill were unable to continue their winning streak, and Joesph was unable to compete in his first event.

It was really great to see several club members coming to support, overall a great day for Poplar. We can’t wait for the next regatta!
