Poplar rowers take on the Atlantic!

Our amazing Poplar rowers, Annika and Molly, are part of the Atlantic Fusion team. This intrepid crew of four, with a mix of genders, will attempt to conquer a gruelling 3,000-mile row across the Atlantic Ocean in the World’s Toughest Row race!

Just today, on July 18th, Annika and Molly joined their teammates Bel and Dave for a photo opportunity in front of Lloyd’s of London. Their sponsor, Antares, underwrites at Lloyd’s, making this incredible journey possible.

Poplar has a rich tradition of Atlantic rowers, including the record holder for the oldest woman to ever make the crossing. Witnessing any crew prepare for this epic challenge is awe-inspiring. The months leading up to the race involve regular training, securing sponsorships, finding palatable freeze-dried food, and mastering the art of ocean navigation.
