Yesterday, Poplar Rowing Club made a splash at the Danson Dashes, entering 14 crews into 11 events and securing a remarkable six victories.

Ben and Molly claimed gold in the open men’s and women’s singles, respectively. Dan and Joelle continued the winning streak in their respective masters singles events. The open coxed fours, consisting of Dan, Ben, Charles, Joseph C, and Niamh, dominated their race, while Molly and Joseph C took home the mixed doubles title.

Every Poplar rower who competed was a fantastic ambassador for the club. Even in the races we didn’t win, our athletes demonstrated impressive skill and determination.

We’re also thrilled to celebrate the end of our Learn to Row course for Maria, Piper, Sof, Nari, and Charlotte. Thanks to the coaching of Harry and Guy, they performed exceptionally well and are now ready to join our women’s squad.

A huge thank you to all the friends and family who came out to support us in the sunshine yesterday. It was another fantastic day for Poplar Rowing Club!
