The London Regatta Centre played host to the annual Docklands Head organised by Poplar, Blackwall & District Rowing Club. On a grey November 10th with overcast skies, perfect rowing conditions prevailed, with calm waters and mild temperatures.

Strong competition

A total of 173 crews, ranging from junior octuplets to masters ‘H’ singles, took to the water, eager to test their skills over the 2750m course from the Royal Victoria Dock to the end of the Royal Albert Dock. The competition was fierce, with crews from across the region vying for top honours.

Thanks to all supporters

Ben Gliniecki, Club captain at Poplar said: “The success of the event was due in no small part to the dedicated volunteers and umpires who gave their time to ensure the smooth running of the competition. The London Regatta Centre, Poplar Boathouse, Trident and Royal Docks Sea Cadets deserve special thanks for supporting this prestigious event once again.”
