Docklands Head 2017
The Docklands Head is held in November each year, on the still water of the Royal Victoria and Royal Albert Docks. Crews race west to east, from the high-level footbridge over the Royal Victoria Dock, under the Connaught Road Bridge, and along the Royal Albert Dock to the 250m mark, a total distance of 2750m.
The race is open to all categories of boat and crew. The race is believed to have been inaugurated in 1986.
The 2017 race will be held on Sunday 5th November.
Masters’ events are handicapped so that crews of different average ages and containing male, mixed and female competitors can be compared on an equal basis.
